I was thinking about an Iron Maiden song that I love, Die with Your Boots On and its great message, from the Piece of Mind album of 1983. So, here’s that song and some others that bring a similar message:
Iron Maiden – Die With Your Boots On
Besides the musical part, I love the lyrics and the meaning behind that phrase, which is to die fighting, of doing what you want to do or what you have to do without fear, even if you’re not fully prepared, because you’ll never be.
Bon Jovi – It’s My Life
This song is part of the studio album Crush (2000). It calls us to live our lives how we want, according to our own rules. Don’t wait for the perfect moment, because life isn’t forever.
Angra — Carry On
This song is from the power metal band from Brazil, Angra, and is on the Angels Cry album from 1993. It tells us to move forward no matter what, even when there are obstacles.
Judas Priest — You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’
This track is on the 1982 album Screaming for Vengeance. This is a total metal anthem from the metal gods, about believing in yourself and taking opportunities, or trying anyway, even if it doesn’t work out.
If you need encouragement to do something or make a decision that scares you, this selection of songs is a good start to take the first step and go for it.
