Music generated by artificial intelligence apps like Suno or Udio is easy to do, and it’s much faster than real music composed by humans, so that’s why many AI bands are starting to appear now.
AI music is getting harder to detect, and we can only imagine that the technology is going to be better and more realistic with each passing day that passes. So, with that premise, it is better to try to know:
How do you know if a band is real?
The first thing we can do is research them. Look for them on the Internet, on Google, on social media. Do they have real interviews? Live performances? Behind-the-scenes content? Tour history? Are there real people attached to the project? Or is everything digital? Do they have discographies, and if they do, is it believable the time that it took them to compose and record those albums?
Look for consistency. Look for real-world presence.
AI projects often exist only online. No concerts. No rehearsals. No real human stories.
And I’m not going to name any specific AI bands here, because I don’t want to give them publicity. But awareness matters. Because as AI improves, the line between real and artificial becomes harder to see. And we deserve transparency.
So, support real artists. Support real music.
