The Album

Vindicate is the seventh studio album by Black Veil Brides, released on May 8, 2026.

The Songs

1. Invocation to the Muse. The first track, intro with an organ, and Andy reciting the lyrics solemnly like a poem.

2. Vindicate. The title track is catchy. It has clean vocals, yet some bleghs and strong, fast-paced parts. A breakdown with harsh vocals. Good guitar solo. Nice.

3. Certainty. Killer drums by CC. Clean vocals alternated with harsh vocals at times.

4. Bleeders. It has a pop vibe, a melodic chorus, and a good guitar solo.

It was inspired by the musical Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

5. Hallelujah. Heavy and powerful, except for the clean melodic choruses. Great guitar solo. Orchestral elements and choirs.

6. Cut. Here, it features Andy’s wife, Lilith Czar. It’s a mellow song about relationship problems. Violin by Jinxx, good guitar solo.

7. Alive. The verses are strong, with harsh vocals and melodic choruses, guitar solo.

8. Purgatory (Overture IV). Instrumental, solemn, piano and orchestra.

9. Revenger. This song features the American metal band Machine Head. It breaks the peaceful sound of the previous track. Heavy start, guitar solo. Andy takes turns on the harsh vocals with Machine Head’s singer, Robb Flynn, melodic choruses by Andy. Breakdown and a second guitar solo.

10. Sorrow. It has a poppier vibe, yet it also has a breakdown, and Andy’s screams I didn’t expect due to the general tone of the song.

11. Grace (Interlude). Instrumental, soft, pretty, with violin and orchestral arrangements.

12. Ave María. Powerful yet clean at times.

13. Woe & Pain. It begins with a piano, peaceful. When Andy starts singing, they add electronic components to the mix. Clean vocals, breakdown, and guitar solo.

14. Eschaton. Short and sweet.

15. Death of Seasons. The last track kicks with a guitar riff, Andy doin’ harsh vocals, and it ends with an orchestral arrangement.

It ‘s an AFI cover.

Final Thoughts

Vindicate is a fine work with many heavy parts. Amazing drummer, CC, very versatile, he plays a lot of double bass drums alternating them with slower paces. Solid guitar work and solos. I think Andy has an excellent, clean voice; however, I would love to hear him one day recording a Black Veil Brides song entirely with harsh vocals, since he does that terrifically, too.

The album edition I listened to was the Spotify one, and it had these songs, but there are also other versions that include a My Chemical Romance cover: Thank You For The Venom, Bleeders (Symphonic Version), and a Type O Negative cover: Black N°1. Being a fan of TON, I would love to hear their version. So far, I haven’t been able to listen to that song because I haven’t found it online yet.
