Turnstile – Madrid, 2025 – Concert Review

Madrid, November 27, 2025

Palacio Vistalegre

The Never Enough Tour

Opening bands: High Vis and The Garden

I arrived at 21.40 at the venue, I bought a Turnstile tour T-shirt, and The Garden were playing (the second opener). They are an American punk band formed by twin brothers Shears, one is the drummer and the other the guitarist. Even though they are more punk-related, I got some gothic vibes from them; it reminded me of Bauhaus a little.

Turnstile

Turnstile is an American hardcore punk band formed in 2010. They have released four studio albums, the latest one being Never Enough, which was released on June 6, 2025. Here’s my review of that album: https://metalbere.com/turnstile-summer-with-never-enough-album-review/

Their current tour, The Never Enough Tour, is to promote their newest album, and with this tour, they played in a couple of shows in Spain, which included Madrid.

Band Members

The Show

Turnstile got on the stage at 22:30, and the first song they played was the title track of their new album and the reason for this tour, NEVER ENOUGH. Everything was lit with blue tones.

Then, a classic and the first crazy track, T.L.C. (TURNSTILE LOVE CONNECTION), which provoked numerous and simultaneous mosh pits in the audience.

From their previous album Glow On, they played ENDLESS, followed by the duo of I CARE / DULL and DON’T PLAY, with all the people jumping at the same time.

A couple of older tracks with Real Thing and Drop, then we were shortly brought back to their present album with LIGHT DESIGN. To return to the past: Come Back for More, that translated in mosh pits and Fazed Out, heavy, sludge, muddy, dense.

Next: an energetic and new song, SUNSHOWER.

Then, from their EP Step 2 Rhythm, the instrumental 7, which is nothing short of intense and raw, I love it. Keep It Moving with much distortion, same with Pushing Me Away.

Then, back to their newer albums, the catchy FLY AGAIN and SOLE.

In CEILING, they play the song’s audio and leave the stage as the disco ball is lowered to the center for their song SEEIN’ STARS. Beautiful moment, I love it, very 80s, and the guitar solo is lovely. After the song, the ball went up again.

Now one of their biggest hit, and my personal favorite (the first song I listened to by them): HOLIDAY.

They continued with ALIEN LOVE CALL and LOOK OUT FOR ME. After the audio speech, the track ends with some electronic and techno elements. The stage went completely black, and they projected a blue light into the audience, which created a cool atmosphere.

For the Encore, three hits MYSTERY, BLACKOUT, which started with the stage pitch black. For their grand finale, bird sounds introduced BIRDS, which unleashed all the craziness in the audience. At the end, many people climb up the stage to sing with the band.

I loved the show, it was amazing, and even though it lasted almost 1 and a half hours (up to 23:55), it seemed really short and fast. I liked that they included songs in their setlist from all their albums, even their EPs, creating a mix of their past and present works. I also adore that their new album, Never Enough, has a cohesive sound and identity in all their songs that, as soon as you listen to one of them, you know it is from that album. The whole experience was beautiful, from the music, the stage, the energy, the lights, everything was perfectly designed.
