Rock Party Songs – The Second Part

Most lists have sequels, and in the case of party songs, this wasn’t the exception, so here’s the second part.

The Songs

Mötley Crüe – Kickstart My Heart

This super fast-paced song refers to when the band’s bassist, Nikki Sixx, overdosed and had to receive an adrenaline shot into his heart, to bring him back to life. This is the perfect choice if you ever need a song to pump you up.

Def Leppard – High ‘N’ Dry (Saturday Night)

This song is from their second studio album, High ‘N’ Dry. It’s my favorite Def Leppard song and album.

They were super raw at this time, with their best lineup, which included Steve Clark and Pete Willis on guitars.

A hard rock song that begins with a powerful riff from the late and marvelous guitarist, Steve Clark.

Skid Row – Piece Of Me

One of the heaviest bands to emerge from the ’80s glam hair metal scene is Skid Row.

Their former singer and leader, Sebastian Bach, is one of the greatest heavy metal voices ever.

Some of their songs had a punk undertone, and their lyrics and music were always a little more aggressive than their ’80s peers.

Kiss – Heaven’s On Fire

The iconic band Kiss has a lot of good party songs, but this one is my favorite. It couldn’t be more glamorous, which is why I love it.

Poison – Unskinny Bop

Poison greatest’s hit, it’s a party anthem for sure, and a classic hair metal track.

Bon Jovi – I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead

This song by the boys from New Jersey is not from the 80s, but from 1992, it belongs to their album Keep The Faith.

It’s a great song and the lyrics are about partying while you’re alive, so I had to add it to this list.

Buckcherry – Lit Up

The L.A. glam band, came a little late to the party, but they had great party anthems too.

Beastie Boys –  (You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!)

One of the first bands to mix hip-hop and rap with rock created the ultimate party song.

Loverboy – Working For The Weekend

This classic 80s rock song by the Canadian rock band was a huge hit and continues to be, among us, those of us who celebrate and remember 80s music with nostalgia.

Def Leppard – Me And My Wine

And for the next day… after the party. The hangover song is courtesy of Def Leppard.
