The Album

To The Grave has released an EP, Everyone’s Still a Murderer, on August 1, 2025.

For me, I don’t know if it was the intention of the band, Still is a continuation, a deluxe, more aggressive and raw sequel to Everyone’s a Murderer.

The Songs

1. Forced Diet Reassignment. The first track and single of this EP. Short length, solid, mumbles, and pig squeals.

2. Sawed Off. My favorite song of this EP and the second single. The video is made with fans’ images and also features some musicians like Alan Grnja (Distant) and Andreas Bjulver (Cabal).

3. Show Them The Bodies. The third single. Short length track. I love the drumming here; it sounds so clear. Some guitar pinch harmonics.

4. Hunt The Hunters. It has a melodic part in the middle of the song, like an interlude with a nice guitar solo, very virtuosic.

5. Emesis System. Here, the singer combines guttural voices with screams and harsh vocals. I like it because it gives it more variety. Short track. Guitar harmonics.

6. DNA (do not amputate). It has a somber tone because it doesn’t describe the animal farming slaughter processes like the other songs. Yet it speaks more on the guilt side, of how, as humans, we can commit such atrocities against animals. At the end, there’s an epic, blackened metal orchestral sound.

7. Death Walking Terror (Cannibal Corpse cover). This is a cover of the death metal icons, Cannibal Corpse. Great guitar solo and version.

Final Thoughts

To The Grave plays deathcore, which is an extreme metal subgenre that combines death metal with metalcore. The music mix includes death metal guitar riffs, drum blast beats, and metalcore breakdowns.

The band’s lyrics are about vegan issues, animal rights, but also about slaughterhouses, very violent and explicit, following the death metal style

Although I’m not a big fan of this genre, slowly I’m getting the gist of it, yet I like the brutality of the music. In the case of this band, I also resonate with their message, which I like because it is militant and in your face.
