Project: Vengeance – They Can’t Be Contained

The Band

This is a deathcore Supergroup, formed by the singers Will Ramos (Lorna Shore), Dickie Allen (Infant Annihilator), Taylor Barber (Left to Suffer), Tyler Shelton (Traitors), and Darius Tehrani (Spite).

Tyler Shelton had the idea of putting together a band with all these singers, and he invited them one by one to join.

Originally, they were going to be six members and be called the “Big Six” (like Thrash’s Big 4), with also Chris Fronzak (Attila) and Joe Badolato (Fit For An Autopsy). But they couldn’t continue with the project, so Tehrani joined, and they changed their name to Project: Vengeance.

The Songs

On March 8th, 2023, they released their first single Cut. Bleed. Repeat. Super heavy song, with low growls and snarls. Relentless, nice groove, muddy.

Then, on July 14th, 2023, they released their second single, Vessel.

Nik Nocturnal, a Canadian YouTuber and musician, did the instrumental part of this song. He had done this track before for another band, which in the end didn’t use it, so he presented it to these guys and they liked it.

The video shows an animated avatar of each singer as they sing their lines, so it’s easier for us to know who is doing the vocals at that moment.

In the beginning, it is like a Left to Suffer’s kind of song. The chorus has that blackened vibes (symphonic part), typical of Lorna Shore or Infant Annihilator, with elements from the other bands too. So it’s like they mixed not only their voices but each band style’s.

Both songs are about not taking bullshit from people, but with an evil twist.

They supposedly recorded an EP in December 2022, so we’ll have to wait for the rest of the songs.

Tyler Shelton‘s idea is that the band has no genre, he wants to keep experimenting, and maybe add a doom song or other styles, so who knows what’s next.

I would love to see these guys live, the 5 singers together, like a sort of boy band, but harmonizing gutturals. It would be incredible.
