I have always been intrigued by these larger-than-life female singers, who rapidly turn into Divas and celebrities worldwide famous, like Madonna, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Dua Lipa, among others. They get fantastic fame, do Tours, sell numerous records, and sometimes they even appear in some blockbuster movies, just to vanish in the air afterward.
It makes me wonder, what was their goal, only fame, and money? (nothing wrong with that), because if it were for the music, the love of the music, they would continue their careers. Some of them remain, like Madonna or Lady Gaga, but the great majority just disappear. This happens with men too (especially with Boy Bands), but it is usually more common with women, even The Backstreet Boys or The New Kids On The Block returned a few years ago, and they keep making world tours.
By contrast, we see in the cases of The Rolling Stones, Ozzy Osbourne, and millions of other bands the important thing is the music, doesn’t matter the wrinkles, the gray hair, or being fatter, if they feel good and are relatively healthy they continue to make music and playing for us, just because of the love of music, and I will always be grateful for that.
