I knew about Babymetal’s existence a long time ago, but I’d never heard a song from them until now, and because it is a track with Electric Callboy, I couldn’t miss it.

Babymetal is a Japanese kawaii metal band formed in 2010. The band consists of three female singers backed by heavy instrumentation performed by Kami Band, a group of session musicians.
The band mixes the idea and image of Japanese idols or J-pop with metal screams and heavy music.

Babymetal released on May 23rd, 2024, the song Ratatata in collaboration with Electric Callboy.
The song starts with Nico, and Kevin follows. The girls start singing and the two bands fit so perfectly.

I love all the transitions in this track.
It’s a super catchy song.
The video is hilarious, as any video of Electric Callboy. Nico and Kevin are in disco ball helmets and going through walls.
Another perfect party song with heavy riffs, and breakdowns. Now with the kawaii element.
The epic collaboration we didn’t know we needed.
It’s intense, sweet, cute, and fun, all at the same time.
