My Thoughts On

Does It Still Make Sense to Write About Metal in 2026?

To answer the question in the title, does it still make sense to write about metal in 2026? For me, yes, more than ever.

I wanted to start this new year with one of my first posts of 2026, a self-reflection post.

When Music Becomes Disposable

With all that is going on around us, political and cultural crises, people are losing faith in mankind.

AI artists generating music and streaming platforms making music and art disposable and undervalued, while paying real musicians just pennies, forcing real musicians to survive as they can.

How to Fight Back

We, the music fans, should keep backing up the artists that do the hard work, whether they are super famous or emerging bands. We can support them by listening to their music, buying merch, and going to their shows when it is possible.

If you play an instrument, and you have a band, you can play a cover of them.

Also, you can share their music on your social media or in physical format with your loved ones, so they become more popular.

Of course, besides all I explained above, another way I use to express my appreciation is writing about them, expressing my opinions towards their music. Whether it’s in writing form on this blog, in a video on my YouTube Channel, posting about them on social media, or just by talking and recommending them to my friends.

Why Supporting Real Musicians Matters

Music is one of the most beautiful creations, and for me, at least, it’s what gives me hope in troubled times. It provides a way to escape when things look hard, so we can keep on going. Art has always been a way of resistance, of expressing ourselves, of haven.

A world without the beauty of music and art isn’t worth living in. So, if we want to continue enjoying them, we have to encourage artists to continue creating music and art that is really worth listening to or appreciating. Not soulless, not artificially generated. To do that, the artists have to be able to make a living out of that, which has become increasingly more difficult as the years pass. But as long as people like us exist, who do our part, I think we’re on the right track.

A Call to Those Who Still Care

I’m going to continue writing and talking about music in 2026 and as long as I can, because not only makes sense to me, but I think it’s more critical than ever. And even though this post, my blog, my YouTube channel doesn’t get a lot of views, it doesn’t matter, I believe it might resonate with someone who also thinks and stands by this idea.

That’s why, if you agree with this, and you ever want to express it and support your favorite artists, I encourage you to do it in the best way that you can. Art and music need you and all of us together.
