BlutEngel (Blood Angel) is a German electronic, dark pop band, formed by the singer Chris Pohl.
Some songs are in English and others in German. Several of their songs include female vocals, that are performed by Ulrike Goldmann.
My story with the band began in 2019. In that year I started learning German and after looking for bands that sing in German, other than Rammstein, I found BlutEngel and liked them immediately. I wanted to translate lyrics and get used to the accent. I became a fan of them because of their music, style, lyrics, everything.
Wir sind Unsterblich (We are Immortal)
In the mid of the COVID-19 Pandemic, on March 27, 2020, they released this song as a single with its corresponding video.
The song was meant to be uplifting during the quarantine. Its beat was super catchy, and it had the message that no matter what, after all this nightmare end, we will be together, because we are immortal.
The video is very emotional. And shows people staying at their homes, being safe, when it was required. The people in the video are fans that sent their videos. Also shows the band and the band’s dancers. Besides, there are appearances of other musicians, artists, and bands, that are friends of BlutEngel. All of them, are listed below.
This is one of my favorite songs of the band, since apart from the music and the song itself, I just love the lyrics, and that its meaning can be beyond the Pandemic. It talks about eternal love, and that if that’s the case, and it’s not possible to be together in this world at this time, it will be someday in the future. Love can’t be restricted by borders, places, or time, because love is also immortal and it transcends everything.
